Managing Director Peter Jackson & Website Manager Danny Bond visited the world of Watches and Wonders 2024. The week long exhibition showcases some of the best the horology industry can offer in the heart of Switzerland, Geneva.

Our team had arranged meetings with some of our favourite brands, TAG Heuer, Bremont, ORIS and Raymond Weil, to see what new and exciting timepieces had been created for 2024. Here are some of our best picks that we can share with you now, whilst so much is still under embargo, and will be revealed in the coming months.

TAG Heuer

A standout at ‘Watches & Wonders 2024’ the biggest watch shows in the world, TAG Heuer continues to celebrate 60 years of ‘Carrera’. A particularly exciting release is the ladies TAG Heuer Carrera 36mm Steel Diamond Set Calibre 7 Bracelet Watch , that was seen debuting a new format of a dazzling bezel of diamonds. This model (WBN231C.BA0001) houses the ring of diamonds now inside the crystal.

Not missing out, the gents TAG Carrera also had a popular rework, the TAG Heuer Carrera 39mm ‘Panda’ Glass Box Bracelet Chronograph Watch. Playing on the ‘panda’ styling that is so popular in the watch community, TAG skillfully introduced this to the Carrera collection. Hot seller, panda stylings are revered for their colour combo and dial configuration and are a classic in any watch collection.

Racing ahead of the trends, TAG Heuer showcased their brand-new Formula 1 Indy special edition watch. Catching the attention of many, the thrilling design is perfect for those who like living in the fast lane. A truly special timepiece for a racing enthusiast. Featuring a black-grained dial that is sure to stand out, with its distinctive printed Arabic indices. In their main collection the F1 chronograph is their latest addition in fast trending colours green and blue. Keeping to their iconic look TAG hit the nail on the head with these designs, they are worth checking out!

Bremont

Bremont the award-winning British company produces spectacularly engineered chronometers at their headquarters in Henley on Thames, England. Proud of their creations the prestigious watch brand showcased their new pieces for the first time at this year’s Watches of Wonders Geneva, Switzerland with new branding and logo.

Terra Nova Launch

Bremont came in strong with the debut of their new ‘Terra Nova’ collection.

Staying true to their image, the collection is built to last, subject to rugged use or exposure to harsh conditions. Only quality materials are used, for example, 904L stainless steel, a material known for its resistance to corrosion and robustness.

The stunning timepiece, Terra Nova 40.5 Turning Bezel Power Reserve Bracelet Watch, was produced for the modern explorer. Featuring a bi-directional compass bezel and power reserve featuring the cardinal signs, with a small second’s sub-dial included as a direct reference to the heritage of vintage field watches.

Withstanding everyday adventures, this timepiece has an automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve that allows you to explore for longer.

The star of the show, the Terra Nova 42.5 Rose Gold chronograph bracelet watch is a sight to behold. Only the best materials are used, featuring a 42.5mm solid 18ct Rose Gold case, this piece is a statement of luxury. Limited to only 33 numbered pieces! This is an absolute must have for an avid watch collector.

A divers dream, the new Supermarine 300m Date model re release seen in Geneva, has been completely redesigned and improved from the last release. It is a spectacular wristwatch that would take any keen diver or watch collector’s interest. Featuring a striking slimmer profile case shape, crafted from 904L steel to maximise its durability. Sleek and symmetrical, this case also includes guards for the bezel and crown. Adding to its robustness and preventing accidental damage when enduring practical tasks.

ORIS

The ORIS Aquis, a signature design of the ORIS family, seen in new slimmer styles and exciting colours at this year’s Watches and Wonders 2024.

What is to be a popular choice, the watch brand released the model with a deep green dial and rubber strap not only is this watch trendy, but it is a comfortable luxury everyday tool watch with refined detailing and ergonomics. Its features include 300 metres of water resistance so perfect to wear every day, swimming, on holiday or any other adventure. Boasting practical features such as, a screw-down crown with protection and a uni-directional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert.

Also available in a classic blue dial, this watch is so versatile, designed to go everywhere you go. This particular colour way would look great paired with a suit & tie or dressed down in summer shorts.

For the monochromatic lovers It Is also available with the classic black dial a watch you can wear anywhere. This would be the perfect purchase for your first ORIS.

Raymond Weil

Raymond Weil is a cherished brand in the watch making community and has a rich family history. Beginning the company in 1976, Mr. Raymond Weil is one of the few remaining luxury independent Swiss watch houses left. Elie Bernheim, the existing CEO, and grandson of the founder proudly showed us his new creations, which Raymond would have been proud of.

Creating a twist on the iconic Tango model, using a never seen before a stunning frosted deep purple dial protected by sapphire crystal Glass. Beautifully crafted this new design remains true to the original design with the six-screw detail beautifully framing the modern artistic dial. Keep an eye out for more colour variations soon!

Green has been such a popular dial colour featured in many of the brands new releases this year and Raymond Weil is no exception, showing off their new men’s green Tango.  The army green dial is a stunning muted take on the super trend, a perfect twist to a best selling watch. Sleek and stylish, the Freelancer appeared at Watches of Wonder with a black & steel colour scheme.

Originally the Freelancer chronograph was created in honour of the free-spirited man and this watch is no different with its mix of classic and modest styles to create a harmonious and unique design.

All of Raymond Weil new pieces are true to tradition but kept up with modern trends, if you are a watch lover they are all worth viewing in person to see their stunning quality.
