Should you choose a Coloured engagement ring?

These days there’s constantly more unusual and unique engagement rings around. While the classic solitaire is still massively popular and a staple when it comes to engagement rings, a growing player in the coloured ring.

Perhaps it’s down to the Kate Middleton’s £250,000 Garrard jewel, or maybe it’s due to the higher of cost of diamonds. Whatever the reason, it seems that traditional diamond solitaire engagement rings are out and coloured stones are in! If your bride-to-be likes being a bit different, or loves all thing vintage, then it may be the way to go.

Coloured gemstones such as sapphires, emeralds, amethysts and rubies are often a little more affordable than diamonds, and can also lend a vintage feel to even the most modern of engagement ring settings.
