Michael Kors are the latest in a short line of watch brands to broaden their reach in the timepiece world. Michael Kors’ latest addition, the Access watch was first introduced at Baselworld 2016, but with a little added twist.

In an attempt to compete with the likes of TAG Heuer and Apple, Michael Kors have created a timepiece that appeals to the teens with its glamorous, yet versatile style. Take a look at the exclusive Michael Kors Access watch that is available from August at Peter Jackson the Jeweller.

At £369, the Michael Kors Access smart watch is available at a cheaper price compared to the likes of TAG Heuer and Apple. However, this isn’t the only benefit from the Access smartwatch. It is a versatile watch and there are also two different models available, one for men and one for women.

The women’s Access is available in a glamorous gold with studded crystals, making it technically brilliant and a fashion- forward timepiece. The second model is black and features a take on sport based timepiece with voice activation, fitness tracking and the standard features that are associated with today’s smart watches. Traditionally Baselworld was a ceremony to show off luxury timepieces that were due to be released, however in recent years Baselworld has seen an increase in smart watches over the years.

The watch world comes together to celebrate years of tradition and history, showing off their latest release in the timepiece world. It is also an opportunity to showcase incredibly rare watches, with the chance to delve deeper into each individual technological advancement. Baselworld 2016 saw more smart watches than there have ever been in the previous years and it is estimated to increase in the incoming years.

Top brands always show off their dominance in the watch market, producing dazzling timepieces and seamless collaborations with brands. However, there were a few surprises in this years Baselworld that captured the attention of the audience.
